Kan det vara så att du blev så gripen eller skrämd av slutscenen i Hitchcocks "Vertigo"(Studie i brott) och att din attraktion för dessa speciella trapphus bottnar i denna cineastiska höjdpunkt?
En kort resumé av upplösningen i filmen: He takes her to Mission San Juan Bautista and forces her to go up the tower once more, telling her that he wants to re-enact the scene in which he failed to save Madeleine. He forces her to confess the truth and they inch up to the top, where Scottie rages at her. In the process, Scottie notices that the emotional experience has conquered his acrophobia, as he has now made it to the top of the tower, which he was unable to do before.Suddenly, a shadowy figure appears at the top of the stairs. Judy, frightened, backs away from the approaching shadow and steps off the tower ledge, plunging to her death. The shadow turns out to be a nun. Scottie sways briefly in shock, but then stares down at Judy's fallen body: the emotional shock has cured his vertigo - but at a terrible cost.
